Een jongen, na vier meisjes:
de boerderij gered!

iets heel bijzonders worden,

It was more than we expected,
when you saw the light of day.
A son, after four daughters,
a future for the farm!

But oh, how skinny you were,

hoe was je leven daar?
Dat leren in den vreemde,
was dat niet veel te zwaar?

Maar toch, toch hield je daar
je vol vertrouwen staande,
al viel dat nog zo zwaar.
